Offshore Oil Rig Rescue
An oil rig worker suffered a severe injury while working on an offshore platform, located hundreds of kilometers from the mainland. The isolated location and lack of immediate medical facilities made evacuation urgent.
Sky Med Africa coordinated a complex rescue operation involving aviation authorities and offshore teams. A specialized aircraft capable of operating in challenging conditions was deployed.
Upon arrival, the medical team worked with on-site personnel to stabilize the patient. Due to limited space and challenging conditions, the transfer required precise coordination and expertise.
The patient was safely transported to the mainland, where a ground ambulance transferred him to a trauma center. Continuous medical care was provided throughout the journey.
